Dr. Ehtsham Haq's commitment to community extends far beyond the clinic walls. As a founding member of the Red Crescent Clinic of Alabama (RCCA) — a free clinic dedicated to serving underserved populations — he has served simultaneously as Board Chair, Medical Director, and clinician, embodying hands-on leadership at every level. His work with the Muslim Community of Birmingham Alabama (MCBA) as both President and Secretary further reflects his dedication to civic engagement. Through APPNA's National Health Care Day, which he has chaired and advised across multiple cycles, Dr. Haq has helped bring free and low-cost healthcare access to communities across the nation. Most recently, he organized community advocacy and fundraising events in Alabama in 2026, continuing a two-decade tradition of service that is as local as it is national in scope.
